Tip From The Trenches

Does the physician have to use during an actual patient visit, or can it be completed after the visit?

It is in the physician’s best interest to use DMEevalumate while performing the face-to-face evaluation with the patient. This ensures that all required questions are asked and answered during the actual patient visit.

The Patient Assessment Tool can be used after the face-to-face evaluation is completed, but it is not the preferred practice and might require additional contact with the patient.
